REGISTRATION
A TEAM
All Match Format: A skier requires a horse and rider in all Divisions. 1 Team = 1 Run. $80 per Team per day: $40 for horse and rider, $ 40 for skiers. Skiers may match up to 4 times per day in Open, up to 2 times per day in Sport & Novice. Skiers cannot register independently in hopes of a pull, and Riders cannot enter without being matched. (Double-Draw)
HORSE
Horse's are limmited to two (2) runs maximum per day
Rider Pays
A rider pays for their runs on a horse. That means if a horse can only go twice a day over 2 days, that's 4 total runs. $40x4 = $160. So, to register one horse & rider for the weekend, it is $160.
RIDER
Riders may ride any number of times, including twice on the same horse in the same Division, but (for 2026) Riders may not compete in different Divisions.

A rider may ride any number of times in a weekend. i.e., you register one horse for the same division for the weekend. (1 horses x 2 runs x 2 days)x$40 = $160
SKIIER
Skiers across All Divisions must register as a matched team with a horse/rider.
- Open skiers can Match up to 4 times per day.
- Sport and Novice skiers can Match up to 2 times per day.

A skier cannot ski (Matched) behind the same horse twice in the same day.

$40/Run
Each run costs you $40 - i.e., you take 4 runs in open per day, which would be: 4 runs x 2 days x $40 = $320
TIME TO REGISTER
Leadville Ski Joring does not do any pre-registration. LSJ reserves and awards entries to those with a legacy at our event.

Registration will be held at the Elks Lodge (123 W 5th St) on Friday, March 5th, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm for Saturday. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact us to give us a heads-up that you are coming, or we can help answer any questions.
When it comes time to register, we ask that you do so all at once with your full team: rider and skier (no horses in the bar). It is $80 per team, per day. We have added a calculator if you are confused.
A team per day is $80 = 1 skier run at $40 + 1 horse & rider at $40
