Leadville Ski Joring is proud to be a registered 509 (a) (2) public charity. We host our event to financially support the greater Leadville community during our slow season, while remaining committed to supporting the broader skijoring community.

Every dollar goes toward bringing this event to life, while we remain committed to keeping it free for everyone who comes to watch. Every year, we make the safety of every competitor (including the horse) our biggest priority, and always work to develop safer practices for those who compete and attend LSJ.

Leadville businesses rely heavily on tourism, typically during the summer months. During winter, Leadville slows down significantly, which means less revenue for businesses. LSJ provides a much-needed economic boost from the thousands of people who visit each year and shop locally. Leadville Ski Joring is an entirely volunteer-based organization.

We appreciate every contribution toward supporting this event, and we hope to continue hosting Leadville Ski Joring for many more years on Historic Harrison Ave.
