New for the Leadville Championship Ski Joring 2023
2023’s Event will feature a 3D, 1 Match/1 Draw format. Skiers require a Match to enter and get a Draw run, & Riders must do a Draw run for each Match. Unmatched skiers may ski in the Snowmobile Division and unmatched Riders may enter via Double-Draw.
There will be (2) tracks - one will be skied on Saturday, and the other skied on Sunday. All will compete on the same track each day, including Snowmobile Division.
Day money will pay out 9 holes: (1st, 2nd, 3rd for each Division: Open, Sport, and Sport 2D), and the split between Divisions will be 2.0 seconds. Divisions will be based on raw times and Day Money will be paid based on total time (including penalties).
Skier Overall results will be based on total time(s), averaged across all qualifying runs.
Rider Overall results will be based on raw time(s), averaged across all qualifying runs.
Leadville Ski Joring rewards consistent performance across the weekend, therefore to qualify for the Overall the competitor must complete all runs.
A Do Not Finish (DNF) or Do Not Start (DNS) will be ranked lower than a qualifying run and a run with penalties will be marked lower than a run without.
No Whining.
